Savor Pittsburgh: A Celebration of Pittsburgh Food

On September 1, 2011, a collection of Pittsburgh’s finest chefs will share their favorite recipes in an all-out competition for coveted “Dish of the Year” honors at the annual Savor Pittsburgh: A Celebration of Cuisine, presented by McCormick & Schmick’s Seafood Restaurant and SouthSide Works to benefit the American Respirator Alliance.

Only Two Mores Saturdays for Mt. Washington Art Market Place!


Every Saturday until Labor Day, come to Mt. Washington and experience some of the Pittsburgh area's best artists. Each week different artists bring new and interesting pieces to the event which runs 11 am-6 pm Paintings, jewelry, sculpture, woodwork and so much more to choose from…even musicians strolling the scene!

Pittsburgh Steelers Act in "The Dark Knight Rises"

The newest of the Batman series of movies, "The Dark Knight Rises" is being shot in Pittsburgh. The cast and crew was welcomed last week when the new Batman logo was projected onto a Downtown building.

Many of the Pittsburgh Steelers participated in the filming of "The Dark Knight Rises" at Heinz Field this morning. The scene involves a football team, and the directors decided to cast the local squad as the team the Gotham City Rogues.

Among the Steelers who took part were strong safety Troy Polamalu, receiver Hines Ward, inside linebacker James Farrior, center Maurkice Pouncey, tight end Heath Miller, defensive end Brett Keisel and free safety Ryan Clark.

National Veterans' Wheelchair Games

Grandview Pointe wants to recognize some amazing athletes that are competing in the National Veterans' Wheelchair Games this week in Pittsburgh! Competition started Monday and wraps up Saturday, and is the largest annual wheelchair sporting event in the world!
